PASMA Training Course for Mobile Access Towers

PASMA plays a key role in setting the national standard for training relating to mobile access towers. Our one-day course conforms to the PASMA syllabus for training personnel who are responsible for assembling, dismantling, altering, moving and inspecting mobile access towers.

Every delegate who successfully completes the theory and practical sessions is issued with a PASMA Photo Card and Certificate of Competence valid for five years, helping you to prove your competence in this vital area.

Aims

The course aims to train delegates in how to safely assemble, dismantle, relocate and alter a mobile access tower without risk of personal injury to themselves or others.

Course content

  • Legislation, regulations and guidance affecting working at height with mobile access towers
  • Your responsibilities
  • PASMA Code of Practice
  • Product Standard EN 1004:2004, which covers the design of mobile scaffolds and tower scaffolds made of prefabricated parts.
  • Assembling, altering and dismantling towers
  • Tower stability
  • Protecting against falls
  • Inspection of completed mobile access towers
  • Completion of Tower Inspection Records
  • Hazards and how to avoid them

Course format

  • One day course
  • Theory in the training room and practical sessions outside
  • PASMA Certificate awarded on successful completion of practical assessment and multiple choice theory assessment
  • Up to 12 delegates on each course
  • Cost of course: £125 plus VAT (£150 total) per delegate

  • No formal qualifications or experience are necessary, but you will find it useful to have a basic understanding of working at height

Course types

  • Low Level Access
    Our PASMA Low Level Access course is suitable for those who hold a Towers for Users ticket but need additional accreditation for using low level access equipment (less than 2.5m) such as folding step units and folding tower units.
  • Combined Towers & Low Level
    Our PASMA Combined course covers both the Towers for Users and Low Level Access syllabus, catering for people who need training in both the assembly,dismantling, moving and inspecting of mobile access towers and low level access equipment (less than 2.5m) such as folding step units and folding tower units.
  • Towers for Managers
    Our PASMA for Managers course is suitable for those who manage or supervise other people using Mobile Access Towers. It caters for delegates who are responsible for ensuring that working at height is adequately planned and organised, and that those on site are fully trained and competent in mobile access towers.
  • Towers on Stairs and Towers with Cantileavers
    These advanced courses are for those who already hold a Towers for Users ticket

A PASMA Card or PASMA Ticket is a photo ID card that certifies that you have attended scaffold tower training. It operates like a licence, informing employers that you are qualified to assemble and work with scaffold towers.

Atrium Access is accredited by PASMA and able to issue PASMA Cards and certificates of competence to those who complete the training successfully. Only registered PASMA training centres can deliver the accredited courses and issue genuine certificates and PASMA Tickets.
