Our client with mutual agreement with their customer have adapted our strategy for high level works to be completed of full birdcage access rather than the originally planned MEWP’s proposal. This enabled our client to reduce the programme of high level works from 20 weeks to 10 weeks for high level gilding, plaster repairs, feature lighting and decoration. Due to the fragile nature of the existing structure traditional scaffold loads were considered too high.

Atrium Access Advanced Alloy Tower Division specialise in lightweight aluminium fixed scaffold to birdcage the Gallery.

Atrium Access carefully designed the proposal to cater for its clients needs, we implemented aluminium beam sections throughout the central part of the rig measuring 36m total. By doing so this maintained access to the void that ran though the middle of the floor. We was successful in not only spreading the necessary weight correctly we also allowed full access to for groundwork's to be carried out in conjunction . The versatility of the tower system allowed numerous moves of platform levels to facilitate the multi trades as well delivering on a 24hr labour workforce causing no disruption to this popular tourist attraction.

We proudly created the largest aluminium tower birdcage ever built!
